The Ribelles Abogados team has participated in the meeting held in Valencia with a delegation from the Guangdong Province of China, also known as Canton, the most prosperous and populous of the Asian giant. On the day, organized by the Generalitat Valenciana, intervened Guangdong Minister of Science, Technology and Productivity, Lao Zhihong. The purpose of the visit has been to strengthen institutional relations with the Valencian Community and publicize the development of projects to attract talent and business initiatives in the field of science and business innovation.
The Guangdong delegation, coordinated by Elisa Zhao, delegate of this Chinese province in Spain, was received by a delegation from the Consell de la Generalitat, headed by the Minister of Sustainable Economy Rafa Climent. The visit has had the collaboration of the Ministry of Science and Technology of this territory of the People's Republic of China, the IVACE and Chamber of Commerce of Valencia. In the Lluís Vives center of the Technology Park of Valencia, our office has participated in the bilateral work seminar. Our managing partner, Julio Ribelles, had the opportunity to transfer his experience to the attendees of this forum regarding the importance of guaranteeing legal certainty in international business relations. He was also able to comment with some of the intervening companies on the status of joint venture projects that they have been developing in the Asian country.

The objective of the meeting was the presentation of the province of Guangdong, the richest in China and considered the 13th maximum power in the world economy. This territory is currently developing a favorable policy process for pioneering scientific projects. The talent scout platform for foreign experts was also presented. The event was also attended by the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the Valencia City Council through Valencia Activa, the FAO European Office, the National Center for Scientific Research, the Valencian Business Confederation, the Valencian Association of Audiovisual Producers and EDEM, School of Businessmen.
Among the initiatives arising from this meeting, the proposal of the FAO delegation to establish an office in China stands out. The General Directorate of Innovation also intends to establish a collaboration between the universities of the Valencian Community and Guangdong. Leading Valencian companies from different sectors participating in the meeting have already started successful joint ventures in China and have been interested in developing greater collaboration between the two territories.
